Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
You have not been asked to accept cookies on Seaworth, and that is deliberate. We set no advertising or tracking cookies at all. What we do store on your device is limited to what the service needs in order to work — which, under EU rules, does not require your consent.
What we store on your device
- Session token
- Keeps you signed in between page loads. Strictly necessary — without it you would have to log in on every request. Cleared when you sign out.
- Functional preferences
- A handful of keys in your browser's local storage, prefixed seaworth_, remembering things like your last search and your display preferences. They stay on your device and are never sent to a third party.
That is the complete list. No advertising identifiers, no cross-site trackers, no social media pixels, and nothing that follows you off Seaworth.
How we measure usage without tracking you
We do want to know which parts of the product people actually use. We measure that with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that is cookieless by design: it records aggregate events — a page viewed, a search run — without setting a cookie, without a persistent identifier, and without building a profile of you across sites.
We also run Sentry to catch errors, configured deliberately: session replay is switched off, and it does not collect personal data by default.
Why there is no consent banner
Under the ePrivacy rules, consent is needed to store or read information on your device unless that storage is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Our session token and functional keys are strictly necessary, and our analytics store nothing on your device at all. So there is nothing here to consent to.
If that ever changes — if we add advertising, a third-party pixel, or any non-essential tracking — we will ask for your consent first, before it runs.
Clearing what we store
You can clear site data for Seaworth at any time from your browser's settings, and you can block storage entirely. Doing so will sign you out and reset your preferences, but the rest of the service will still work.
